The Jamie Oliver Foundation works to encourage healthy eating habits for life through programmes across the globe.
Initially our public affairs and PR counsel centered on the regulation of food in academy schools. We have since advised on an ad-hoc basis on emerging issues such as sugar tax and school food more generally.
iNHouse Communications worked with the Foundation on its response to the Government’s School Food review. We participated in stakeholder meetings including Jamie and those leading the review. Our role was to advise the Foundation on its participation in the launch, mindful of Jamie Oliver’s personal history in the school food debate.
We helped the Foundation use the launch as an opportunity to engage with local MPs, connecting them with community projects and promoting activity in local media.
Outcomes included local media coverage, increased dialogue with local MPs and Jamie’s positive response to the Government announcement featuring in most national media.
