The Hyde Group, one of London and the South East’s biggest Housing Associations, asked iNHouse to put together a high profile industry leading event around their regeneration scheme at Bermondsey Spa.
Hyde have a lot to be proud of – a 15 year investment which has seen the quality of homes and lives improve dramatically, higher educational attainment amongst residents, lower crime and a huge drop in the number of residents claiming Job Seekers Allowance having found employment. iNHouse put together an event at the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors which welcomed over 120 attendees representing leading figures from the industry including developers, investors, journalists, think tanks, charities, Members of Parliament and Councillors.
Our keynote speaker was the Secretary of State for the Department of Local Communities and Government, the Rt. Hon. Greg Clark MP. Introducing and welcoming everyone to the event, The Hyde Group CEO Elaine Bailey was able to tell the audience why Hyde is passionate not just about providing homes but being a major player in driving regeneration. The Secretary of State noted Hyde’s involvement in large scale projects as did fellow speakers Cllr Peter John, Leader of Southwark Council and Tony Travers, London School of Economics professor. Questions from the audience from a journalist made headlines when the Secretary of State chose that moment to make an announcement on Right to Buy.
Social media went into overdrive with hundreds of people tweeting about the announcement and our event. We exceeded the clients’ objectives by raising the profile of The Hyde Group especially amongst influencers and key stakeholders such as the Secretary of State and showcasing their regeneration capabilities.
