The leading charity enlisted the support of iNHouse Communications to help improve awareness of its work amongst MPs. iNHouse Communications devised an event on a shoestring budget in Westminster to engage MPs on the support required by teachers to identify children with dyslexia early.
We held a meet and greet on College Green in Westminster with MPs, authors and representatives from Dyslexia Action. The MPs were invited to take part in the Longest Story by each writing a line of a tale to form one long, and rather amusing, story. All the participants were photographed taking part and the book was auctioned off in aid of the charity later that summer.
Our approach was to dispel the myths that Public Affairs was complicated and costly. Valuable relationships were established between politicians and the charity as a result of just a few hours’ work
